OUR BELIEFS

Nothing weird here!

In essential beliefs we have unity, in non-essentials we have freedom, but in all our beliefs we show love! (1 Corinthians 13:2)

In ESSENTIAL beliefs – We have UNITY.
There is one Body and one Spirit – just as you were called to one hope when you were called – there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all, who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:4-6

In NON-ESSENTIAL beliefs – We have FREEDOM.
“Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. One man’s faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls…So then each of us will give account of himself to God.” Romans 14:1-4,12

In ALL our beliefs – We show LOVE.
“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body…but have not love, I gain nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

About the Scriptures
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

About Salvation
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, salvation occurs only when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

About God
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the lost world.

About the Christian Life
We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself. By obedience to the Word and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer will mature and become conformed to the image of Christ.

About Mankind
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through his own effort alone.

About the Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to a lost world.
